Typically, a hand-carry exclusively transports time-sensitive, highly delicate, or business-critical shipments, reflecting the urgency they demand. Whether it’s vital documents, urgent spare parts, or other essential cargo, these items are personally escorted from the sender to the recipient.
The Challenge
Our mission was to transport 80 kilograms of a crucial automotive component from Brazil to Chennai within a demanding timeframe of 30 to 32 hours. This delivery represented a critical hand-carry assignment.
The Solution
Typically, for critical deliveries, a single individual will personally carry the goods on a direct flight journey, sometimes even in business class. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we found ourselves without an available person for the task. As a precaution, we arranged for a backup standby individual upon arrival at key transit points in Kenya, West Africa, and Dubai airports, in case a direct route to Chennai was not immediately feasible. To mitigate any last-minute complications, customs clearance was handled well in advance. We ensured the client understood the process, expectations, and potential challenges. With meticulous planning in place, we initiated the execution phase as soon as the package was in our possession. Fortunately, we managed to identify a suitable individual equipped with a direct Visa to Chennai, enabling us to execute the delivery successfully within the stipulated time frame.
The Result
Despite the urgency of the situation, we left no stone unturned. As a result, we successfully closed all gaps and managed to deliver the automotive part on time without any delays.
